I am a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA) and both my partner and I hold an enhanced disclosure check from the Criminal Records Bureau. Ofsted have inspected and passed my home to ensure its safety as a childcare setting and I have valid NCMA Public Liability Insurance. My home has been inspected and complies with Fire Safety Regulations.
When choosing a Childminder, it is important that they are qualified. I hold the following official qualifications, both which are required to be passed as a registered Childminder by Ofsted:
• First Aid for Childcarers
• Diploma in Homebased Childcare Unit 1
I have also attended:
• Pre-Registration Childminder Information Session
• Welfare Requirements Day
• Pre-Registration Business Training for Childminding
I can provide certificates for all of the above, and I also hold a Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety in the Workplace. Being registered does not mean that this is the end of my training; I will be attending further courses to ensure my knowledge is kept up-to-date and relevant.
