NCMA

My home has been certified as safe for childminding; this involves creating a child-orientated environment throughout, including stair gates and socket covers. Childcare takes place on one floor, which limits the risks related to children climbing up and down stairs. I have a room dedicated solely to childcare but can also use my spacious lounge as well. My bathroom is situated next to the childrens’ room, where your child will be provided with their own face cloth and hand towel.

All the children have access to various toys and games, books, creative activities such as crayons, chalk, Play-Doh and paint, and are encouraged to learn through play. Your child will be encouraged to learn about different cultures through books, food and the celebration of festivals. I adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, which sets the standards of care for children up to the age of five years, ensuring that the educational and developmental needs of children are met in childcare settings.

I take the children out every day (weather permitting). Outdoor activities include, but are not limited to, playing at the park, feeding the ducks, going shopping and visiting the library.

I provide parents with daily, written information on their child’s progress in the form of a diary. This means you will not only know what your child did during the day, but also what they had to eat and when, their sleeping pattern (if applicable) and other important and relevant information.

And what are your policies?
